Ruach Academy
Ruach Academy did not begin with a denomination, a religious label, or an attempt to create another belief system.
It grew out of my own hunger for truth, my willingness to question what I had been taught, and my desire to know the Creator for myself.
You only have to be willing to search honestly, listen carefully, examine yourself, and allow the Creator to correct you.
In the Beginning
Scripture begins by establishing the most important relationship that exists:
Elohim is the Creator. We are the created.
He is not created in our image. We are created in His. The relationship begins when we understand the order: the created does not define the Creator.
Elohim is holy, powerful, sovereign, all-knowing, and worthy of reverence. We do not approach Him as though He exists to validate our traditions, politics, denominations, desires, or personal opinions.
We approach Him recognizing that He has the authority to correct us, reshape us, teach us, and call us into covenant.
Fear of Yahweh
“The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge.”Proverbs 1:7
Before theology, before interpretation, before religious tradition, and even before self-discovery, there must be reverence for the Creator.
The fear of Yahweh is not simply terror. It is the recognition of His holiness, authority, power, and right to correct us.
Real learning begins when we are willing to say:
“Yahweh, show me the truth — even if the truth changes me.”
Those With Ears to Hear
Scripture speaks repeatedly of people who have ears but do not hear, and eyes but do not see.
This is not merely about physical hearing and sight. Truth can stand directly in front of us and still never enter us.
Awakening begins when the inner ear begins to hear and the inner eye begins to see.
Before the Word can be implanted, it must first be heard. Before truth can transform us, we must become willing to recognize it.
Prepare the Ground
The Messiah taught about seed falling on different kinds of ground. The seed may be the same, but the outcome depends upon the condition of the ground.
In this journey, the ground is the inner person: your mind, your heart, your conscience, and your willingness to be corrected.
Good ground does not mean that a person already has all the answers. Good ground is a mind willing to hear, examine, receive, and change.
A pastor can teach you. A scholar can teach you. I can share with you what I have discovered. But none of us should replace the Holy Spirit as the One who corrects and works within you.
One of the most important questions we can ask is:
“Am I willing for the Holy Spirit to show me that something I have always believed may be wrong?”
None Righteous — No, Not One
Scripture does not give any of us permission to approach truth from a position of superiority.
“There is none righteous, no, not one.”Romans 3:10
That includes the preacher, the student, the scholar, the teacher, and the person writing this page.
We all have blind spots. We can all be deceived. We can all carry pride, habits, fear, traditions, desires, and assumptions that distort what we hear.
Good ground begins with humility.
The question is not merely, “Who else is wrong?”
The more difficult question is, “Where am I wrong, and am I willing to be corrected?”
Emphytos — The Implanted Word
James speaks of receiving the implanted Word. That image lies at the heart of Ruach Academy.
A seed does not transform the ground by sitting on its surface. It must enter the soil. It must be received. It must take root. It must grow.
Scripture can work the same way within a person.
The goal is not simply to memorize religious information. The goal is for truth to be planted deeply enough that it begins changing how we think, what we desire, how we treat others, and ultimately who we become.
From Seed to Fruit
Transformation is a process. The Word is heard, received, implanted, rooted, and allowed to grow.
Transformation From the Inside Out
Ruach Academy is personal to me because I have experienced what it means for something to change within.
For roughly twenty years I was addicted to cigarettes. I knew they were harmful. Knowing that intellectually did not remove the desire. Yet the Creator eventually set me free from something that had controlled me for years.
More recently, the Holy Spirit confronted me about pornography and what repeated exposure to it had been doing to my thinking, my desires, and the way I viewed other people.
That realization was uncomfortable. But honest searching requires a willingness to see ourselves truthfully, even when what we see is difficult.
What I began to understand is that real transformation is more than forcing yourself to obey rules.
Sometimes the deeper change occurs when an old desire simply begins losing its power because something better has taken root.
That is what Emphytos means to me: the Word is planted, the Spirit works, and the person begins changing from the inside out.
You Do Not Have to Face the Battle Alone
Every day we face battles within ourselves: habits, desires, fears, temptations, anger, resentment, pride, distraction, and influences that compete for our attention.
But we are not left alone.
The Messiah spoke of the Comforter — the Holy Spirit — who teaches, reminds, guides, and works within those who seek the Creator.
Ruach Academy encourages you to learn to recognize that help, receive correction, and allow the Spirit to work within you.
Teachers may point. Scripture may instruct. Brothers and sisters may encourage. But the deepest transformation happens when the Creator begins doing the inward work.
The Ruach Academy Journey
Ruach Academy will grow around a simple journey toward truth, transformation, and covenant.
In the Beginning
Understand the Creator, the created, and the proper order of the relationship between Elohim and humanity.
Fear of Yahweh
Recover reverence, humility, awe, and the recognition that knowledge begins with the Creator rather than ourselves.
Hear and See
Learn to recognize the difference between merely encountering words externally and truly hearing and seeing inwardly.
Prepare the Ground
Examine the mind, heart, assumptions, traditions, and resistance that can prevent truth from taking root.
Emphytos
Receive the implanted Word and allow Scripture to move from something outside of you to something living and working within.
Transformation
Watch the seed grow as thinking, desires, habits, character, relationships, and priorities begin changing from the inside out.
The Goal Is Covenant
Ruach Academy was established to help you grow into a right relationship with your Creator — a relationship built on reverence, truth, trust, obedience, and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
The goal is more than gaining biblical knowledge. Knowledge is meant to lead somewhere. As the Word is heard, received, implanted, and allowed to grow within you, it begins preparing your heart and mind for a deeper relationship with Elohim.
That relationship is covenant.
Ruach Academy encourages you to know the Creator for yourself: to fear Yahweh, hear His Word, receive His correction, trust His direction, and allow His Spirit to transform you from the inside out.
The journey ultimately leads toward a blood-covenant relationship with the Creator — not merely knowing about Elohim, but walking with Him, belonging to Him, and allowing that covenant relationship to shape the way you think, live, love, and respond to the world around you.
This is why Ruach Academy exists:
To prepare the ground, receive the implanted Word, grow in truth, and enter into a right covenant relationship with the One who created you.
The created coming into covenant with the Creator.
